The 17 goals of the UN for sustainable development call worldwide to face global challenges together and to create new innovations. These goals offer companies in particular new innovation potential and access to new markets and new target groups.

We would like to help you to work out "your" SDGs and to orient your company policy accordingly.

SDG-Sustainable development goals

In January 2016, the UN launched a new agenda for sustainable development as part of a new initiative to address the existing problems facing our planet. The 2030 Agenda, the 17 major goals for sustainable development in the future.

For the first time, such goals were set equally for all member nations. One speaks of a new networked thinking of the United Nations, which have recognized that poverty, environmental degradation, inequality, modes of production and consumption, corruption and many other problems are no longer regional challenges. The agenda says that all goals apply to all countries, since all goals are linked in one way or another and can therefore only be achieved through joint efforts.

All 193 member states of the United Nations have signed the 2030 Agenda. They are committed to implementing the SDGs on a national and international level.

SDGs in the company:

The role of business in the implementation of the SDGs is crucial. It is already known that long-term economic success is now more dependent on social factors. For example, companies have great chances of making a positive impact on the issues of labor standards, environmental protection and the fight against corruption as soon as they become aware of their responsibility.

The SDGs themselves, as well as ISO 26000, serve as comprehensive guidelines with orientation options and recommendations. At the same time, they can be used to minimize risks, such as in the case of resource scarcity, demographic change and climate change. Many companies are already aware that only including solving ecological and social issues as part of their corporate strategy leads to long-term success.
